How an Automatic Floor Scrubber Beats the Mop

While using mops is a good way to clean tile floors in a jiffy, it is by no means efficient for large spaces, particularly when there isn’t enough manpower to ensure that the whole area is cleaned on time. This is why more and more establishments are shifting to automatic floor scrubbers to ensure that all spaces are cleaned swiftly and efficiently. Here’s a comparison between the performance of mops and automatic scrubbers:

  • Mops may move smoothly across the floor but lack deep-cleaning power. Auto scrubbers are equipped with powerful motors and use pressure to reach deep into the grout lines and rid them of dirty water.
  • Mops spread dirty water around and under fixtures, furniture, baseboards, etc. Auto scrubbers concentrate dirt removal on one area and vacuums with every pass.
  • Mops leave the floor wet for some time, making it a slip-and-fall hazard. Auto scrubbers leave the floor dry as they go.
  • In a given time, mops clean less floor area as compared to the space auto scrubbers can cover.

Contrary to the common notion, commercial auto floor scrubbers aren’t only for huge grocery stores, factories, or warehouses with large spaces. They come in a variety of sizes, some of which are specifically designed for smaller areas. In fact, small-scale medical facilities and hospitality establishments can benefit from their use, too.
